From Fan to Teammate
When people talk about finding their “dream job,” they often describe a moment—a perfect alignment of passion and opportunity. For me, that moment was more of a slow build. A twelve-year arc of admiration and the quiet hope that one day, I might get to pull up a seat at the table. That day is here. I’ve joined The Black Sheep Agency as Director of Growth. And while the excitement is real and new, the roots of this connection run deep.
Long before I joined Black Sheep, I was a fan. I watched from afar as this woman-owned, unapologetically values-driven agency took on the kind of work most people shy away from—complex, nuanced, purpose-heavy projects where the stakes are real and the outcomes ripple through communities. Whether it was amplifying grassroots organizers, crafting campaigns for cultural institutions, or helping changemakers define their identity in a noisy, distracted world—Black Sheep wasn’t just creating pretty things. They were doing meaningful things. And doing them well.
For over a decade, I have followed their work the way some people follow artists or athletes. Not just because the creative was sharp (it always is), but because the why behind it was even sharper. The leadership team has been working together for a long while, who is hell bend on doing things differently, with heart in the center of decision making. They make space for bold ideas, they lead with empathy and fire, and surround themselves with people who are as committed to impact as they are to excellence.
Why Now?
The world is in a moment. A moment of reckoning, rebuilding, and reimagining. More and more, brands and organizations are realizing that purpose isn’t a marketing angle—it’s a mandate. And they need partners who understand how to turn conviction into clarity, and clarity into action. That’s where Black Sheep shines. And that’s the kind of work I want to fuel. As Director of Growth, I’ll be focused on connecting with the visionaries, the doers, the social impact leaders who know their work deserves more than a cookie-cutter campaign. I’ll be helping them find their voice, sharpen their strategy, and scale their reach—with a team that knows how to punch through the noise and into people’s hearts. So if you’re reading this and thinking, “Wait… I’ve been following Black Sheep forever too,” or if you’re a fellow rebel soul working to shift culture, mobilize communities, or design for impact—let’s talk. Because the world won’t wait. And neither will we.
